This post contains a summary of the Spring DEI meeting held Monday 28 March 2022.

In this meeting of the DEI committee members met with the chair and board liaison. Topics discussed (and described below) were a blog update, membership of the DEI committee, visibility of DEI work, an NJCL DEI update, and potential discussions for the summer meeting.

Statement on Transgender Rights

The Board of Governors of the American Classical League has released the following statement:

Transgender rights are human rights. The American Classical League values and appreciates all its members as well as all teachers and students of the ancient world. We stand with LGBTQIA+ Classicists.
